Ed has been performing the bagpipes at events around the Nottinghamshire area for over 25 years. He was taught by Pipe Major Alec Mclean of the Nottinghamshire Pipe Band and began his early piping years playing with the Seaforth Highlanders in Mansfield as well as the Nottingham Police and Ashbourne and District Pipes and Drums.
Ed has performed for matches at Derby City Football Club, played at promotional events for nightclubs in Derby and Nottingham, has piped at East Midlands airport for the launch of the Loganair route to Inverness and has played at countless weddings, funerals, parties, Burns Suppers and other events throughout the East Midlands.
Ed offers a professional service and can perform in traditional Scottish day dress or full highland regimental attire. As well as the highland bagpipes Ed can also play the Scottish Smallpipes for occasions when the Highland Bagpipes maybe too loud.
